Thursday night the Garrison Jr. High teams faced off against the Groveton Indians. Avery Yarbrough got the party started with a huge punt return for a touchdown. Yarbrough would go on to add  3 more rushing touchdowns for a total of 4 for the night. Jaxon Winder added in a touchdown of his own with a punt return as well. Nicholas Mooney set the tone for the Bulldog defense with several key tackles for loss or short gain. Brycen Davidson, Slade Perry, and Riley Sparks teamed up for an impressive defensive showing. They allowed zero catches, batting down several passes on some big stops. Garrison 7th grade would go on to win the game 34-0!

The Garrison 8th grade kept the touchdown party going into the night! Colton Carroll started the 8th grade off with a punt return for a touchdown. Jaxon Shaw found his tight end, Wyatt Luce for another Bulldog touchdown. Antonio Yarbrough joined in the fun with a punt return for a touchdown as well along with a rushing touchdown. Yarbrough capped off the night with an explosive 55 yard touchdown run. The Bulldog defense made an impressive statement last night hanging a zero on the scoreboard for Groveton. The defensive line played a key role in stuffing the Groveton run game. Dallas McFadden, Landon Mitchell, Camden Curbow, Wyatt Luce, JoNathan Howard, and Gavin Pollard seemed to be a wall Groveton just couldn’t get through. The Garrison 8th grade finished the night with a 40-0 win!
