Garrison Hires Christina Miller from Volleyball powerhouse Copperas Cove as Head Girls Volleyball and Basketball coach.
A native of Copperas Cove, with over 10 years of experience in volleyball and basketball, Christina Miller has shared her passion for the game as an assistant coach and Girls Junior High Coordinator at Copperas Cove ISD. Growing up, the game of basketball was her first love and passion, however, after being introduced to volleyball, her passion soon become equally divided and this newly developed interest immediately captured her heart. During high school, she lettered in volleyball and basketball, and led her team to multiple play-off appearances. Upon graduation, Christina attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where she played volleyball, earned Honorable Mention All-East Division honors, and was voted ASC All-East Division First Team two years in a row. In 2013, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education and began her career in coaching back at her Alma Mater. As one of the newest members of Garrison ISD family, Christina will be going into her seventh year of coaching.
Christina is grounded in her faith and close relationships with her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and friends whom she calls family. “I am very excited for the opportunity to join the GISD coaching staff and continue to carry on Garrison’s historical traditions, while sharing my love and passion for these sports as Garrison ISD’s Girls Head Volleyball and Basketball Coach. I’m eager to connect with the Garrison community, and enthusiastic about meeting my team to begin our journey of building unity, trust, courage, and lifelong memories. Go Bulldogs!”
